The Story Stickmons are inspired by once working on a Stickwork created Patrick Dougherthy. I was so
excited about it I decided to build one in my back yard. First of all Patrick is a great artist and had
nothing to do with these Stickmon except for inspiring me. Vist http://www.stickwork.net/ to see a Master's work.
I didn't have the mumber of trees that he has availabe to cut. And I don't have a group of eager volunteers.
So I built it on the side of a shed with some ties to keep it attached (no balancing tree).
I found that I was not a great weaver but with the lack of trees and help I had a good set of excuses.
I built Stickmon as a giant X and that worked well. But it was missing something.
I know Patricks's works often have circles to make windows etc. I decided to make a head.
It was a struggle but I surprised myself and made a head. And Stickmon was alive.
I'm now looking at Stickmon IV. Each set of trees only last a few years.
But that gives time for new branches to grow to be used for the next one.
